St. Albert the Great located in the McKenzie towne community, is newest addition to 1st Class After Class family. The 1st Class After Class – St. Albert the Great School which offers a Before and After School program and Kindergarten Program.
At 1st Class After Class – St. Albert the Great, our team of qualified staff are committed to providing a safe, stimulating atmosphere where children will have opportunities to explore and discover the world around us, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop strong confidence and essential life skills. Our rotating schedule of games, crafts, homework support, and physical activities will ensure that every child is active, engaged and involved.
Group Play
It is a time for story and language development, music and movement activities, and other varied learning experiences.
Dramatic Play
Our programs all have a pretend and learn area devoted to developing a child’s sense of “make believe”.
Before & After Grade 1-6
Our before and after-care programs go well beyond homework help. We support children in becoming the kindest, most capable, and most resilient version of themselves.
Activities
With regular outdoor time and planned indoor activities, our children experience a world of movement, dance and recreation.
Reading
Books allow children to enter a world of “make believe” and learn about new and exciting things.
Kindergarten Care
Our programs use a curriculum that is individualized to every age, with planned activities that combine learning and fun to create happy, curious kids.
Aradhana Angrish
Program Director
Ms. Aradhana is the Director of our St. Albert the Great location! She has the highest has the highest level of qualification in early childhood education and is welcomed addition to the 1st Class leadership team! Ms. Ara says "my name is Aradhana and children like to call me Ara. I have learnt so much from children and I believe I want to be a life long learner so I can provide a safe, nurturing learning environment for the children. I want to uphold children's uniqueness, challenge their abilities and develop their minds with help of child led projects. I truly believe as educators we touch their hearts and build minds".
Charlise Wight
Assistant Director
Ms. Charlise is the Assistant Director of the St. Albert the Great location! She has worked in daycare at the 1st Class Childcare 130th location before moving to St.Albert the Great. Ms. Charlise loves letting kids explore with loose parts. She says "working with kids makes me so happy! I love seeing how my teaching and connections with the children's play translates into there everyday experiences and it warms my heart when I hear they love coming to 1st class".
